A Reflection on the Last Year in Real Estate

It's been over a year since we embarked on our efforts to secure our financial future in real estate.  We've learned a lot, made some mistakes, made some money, had a lot of fun and enjoyed networking with all of you.

Don't worry, this is not goodbye, but an overview of interesting events.  As I reflect on this last year I want to recap some of the problems we've come across and how we overcame these challenges.

1. Challenge:  FHA Appraisal came in $22,000 below purchase price.  Click Here
2. Challenge:  My Name was used as part of a trust deed SCAM - this person stole $60,000 from two elderly gentlemen. Click Here
3. Challenge:  Buying a House sight unseen via Online Auction: Click Here
4. Challenge:  How to find the best city for rehab investments.  Article-Click Here, Video-Click Here

Here's a preview of what's coming next:

1. Tax Deed Condo in Florida - Conflict in the Florida Law re: condo tax deeds
2. Contractors that don't pay their sub-contractors
3. Creative financing when the project goes over budget
4. Why due diligence is CRITICAL - beware who you do business with and WHERE they got their real estate training (This validated how good Armando Montelongo's training was for us.)

I appreciate everyone's feedback and continued support for this newsletter and the blog.  Feel free to forward this on to your friends and associates, and if you have a desire, please take a moment support our sponsors (below) if they are of any interest to you.

Angie's List-Contractor Ratings - Find good service providers for your rehab
